February 20, 2022 Dear Church Family: Almost two years ago we developed this website for the purpose of trying to reach our church family with messages from God’s Word during the shutdown. Even as we returned, we have sought to maintain it for those who are not able or uncomfortable going out in crowds due to the pandemic. As we’ve learned more about the technology, we’ve developed the “YouTube” channel where the actual videos are stored and able to be most efficiently viewed. This remains the best way to access and watch the videos of the services. As of this next week, I plan to discontinue updating this site as I believe it has served its purpose. All the recordings to date are still available on the YouTube site and will remain available. New messages will also be uploaded to the YouTube channel as before and the links will be sent out in the Email and Texts. This step will eliminate an hour or two of repetetive work each week since the resources are already being made available online. Should we deem it practical to begin again, we will do so as the situation warrants. Our prayer is that these messages will not only be a blessing to our church family, but also to others around the world who may come across them. By His grace, Pastor Wells

Important Announcements:

OFFERINGS DURING “SHUTDOWN” I have been contacted several times this week by our church family asking about how are we going to handle giving during this time. I am so pleased we are thinking this way. God-allowed events that cause cancelation of services do not stop the expenses and financial obligations of a church. In fact, experts from Christian legal and financial organizations are warning churches to expect a serious financial impact as a result of this current crisis. Thank you for your generous giving spirit! For those who wish to give, please follow these guidelines: 1. Please send your offerings to our church Treasurer – Sam Akers, 1380 Scott St., Christiansburg, VA 24073. During this time, we feel this may be safer as many are aware churches are receiving offerings through the mail and church mailboxes may become targets. 2. Missionary Offering: To help us, please indicate what portion of the offering is for the Missionary offering that month and what is for normal offerings.
